Welcome to Cultured Kids #24! Summer is here and everybody seems to be getting ready for the holidays. Galleries everywhere are dusting themselves down and making sure that they have enticing exhibitions to lead us through their doors. These last few weeks have been a blur of new things to see. I’ve gather my favourites into my offering for Cultured Kids #24.
Highlights of the laster two weeks have been the bright yellow walls on show in the staid Royal Academy as Grayson Perry took over as curator of the 250th Summer Exhibition.
Over in Kensington Gardens the latest Serpentine Pavilion opened its doors, the perfect place for a cultural coffee.
Whilst down the road the exhibition that I most wanted to see this summer Frida Kahlo: Making Herself Up opened at the V&A.
Scarlett and Emma’s favourite posts from Cultured Kids #23 were:
10 Things to do with Kids at the SS Great Britain and Being Brunel Exhibiton from Where Jo Goes
Barcelona with Teenagers from Nancy at Map and Family
International Bomber Command Centre from Trish at Mums Gone To ….
3 Hours in Imola, Italy from Tanja at Red Phone Box Travels
What have you all been up over the last fortnight? We’d love to read your cultural posts, be it a gallery, museum, stately home, theatre or what UNESCO dubs intangible cultural heritage. Emma from Bavarian Sojourn and I are looking forward to reading all your posts. All the details about how to link up to Cultured Kids #24 follow:
