Red Door

I love details and bright colours.  This door that I spotted in The Hague ticks both boxes.  What I would really like to know is, is the door very, very old with a modern lick of paint or is it brand new?  What do you think?

We were visiting The Hague very early in the morning when the streets were deserted as we were fresh off the overnight ferry on our way to stay in a castle.

I’d say old with a fresh lick of paint.

How often do you think they repaint?

I’d say old – either way it’s a fab and very striking door!

Hi Catherine, love the reflection in the window above the door. It’s like a mirror. Looking at the door I think it’s a modern take on an old door. It looks too flat and perfect to be old (then what do I know?).

I liked the reflection too, it is the perfect sheen that makes me think that it might be new

What a door! It looks huge too. I’m going for old.

PS Did you stay up all night to be first to link up?

I know, I’ve never been first before! We went to the theatre last night so were night owls

Oh that door is fascinating. I’d go with a very old door with a fresh lick of paint too 🙂
