Alice in Wonderland, Orlando the Marmalade Cat and Winnie the Pooh were my favourite childhood books. So it was with great glee that I accepted the invitation to see Winnie the Pooh at the V&A. You get the chance to wander through life-size versions of the famous illustrations whilst viewing the originals. It is a magical exhibition and I would encourage you all to go and and see it, with or without a small person in tow. Most exciting of all was the offer to dip a bread stick in special V&A honey before we went into the exhibition. The V&A has four beehives on its roof and when the honey is offered for sale to staff and volunteers it usually sells out in a few hours, so it was a special treat to get the chance to taste some. Apparently it is extra sweet because the bees like to fly into the Chinese Ambassador’s garden for the Acacia trees and their sweet nectar.
