The Summer holidays are here and it is time for #CulturedKids August 2017, even if the persistent rain outside is more reminiscent of April. My teens are off in Sweden on Scout camp and so the house is very quiet.
July was mainly a month of warm sunny days, or it was right up until school broke up. As a family we made of the most of the lovely weather for a visit to St Pancras Old Church, in the heart of London to mark my parents-in-law wedding anniversary for it was there that got married. Three friends and I were lucky to enjoy views stretching far into the Home Counties on the evening that we visited the Sky Garden. By the time the end of the month had arrived the weather had closed in but the upside of that was that everybody else stayed away and we had the beach to ourselves.
Thank you to everybody who linked up with #CulturedKids in July, once again I really enjoyed catching up with where you had all visited. The three posts that particularly caught my eye were:
10 THINGS TO DO WITH KIDS IN ARAGON by POD Travels
Catherine of Aragon has always fascinated me but I have never given a second thought as to where Aragon might actually be. Now that POD Travels has shown me, I think that we might have to visit soon!
A PERFECT PRAGUE MORNING WITH (OR WITHOUT) KIDS by The Little Adventurer
Prague was one of the first cities that Mr CW visited after we met and I remain very fond of it. The Little Adventurer had me wanting to revisit, especially with the promise of seeing one of these magnificent white peacocks.
TOP 10 CHILDREN’S MUSEUMS IN THE NETHERLANDS by Flip Flop Globetrotters
Did you know that there was a museum devoted to Miffy? No, I didn’t either but now I do I want to go. we are visiting the Netherlands later this month, unfortunately our plans don’t take us near the Miffy Museum but next time, thank goodness there are lots of other places on the list that are nearer where we will be staying.
I’m looking forward to seeing what you have all been up to for #CulturedKids August 2017.
