Cultured Kids #21

Welcome back to #CulturedKids!  What a difference a day makes at this time of year, one day we are shivering in sub zero temperatures and the next it is the hottest April day on record.  The weather was just on the turn on the day this month’s #CulturedKids host Scarlett and I headed off to to see the first statue of a woman in Parliament Square being unveiled.  It is 100 years since women got the vote and Millicent Fawcett was one of women who we have to thank.

Bright sunny days were perfect for heading out with a friend and her dog to the Devil’s Punchbowl we walked down what was once a bottleneck on the A3 and is now a green path.

After all the hurly burly of the Easter holidays and friend and I headed off down to Bath for a couple of days where we gazed at the Roman baths and wallowed in the warm waters of Thermae Bath Spa.

If you love the Tudors and a spot of historical fiction then you in luck.  The latest instalment of Alison Weir’s Six Tudor Queens series comes out in middle of May and I have one hardback copy of Jane Seymour, The Haunted Queen to giveaway.

Earlier this year I finally got to visit Rome, a mere seventeen years after Mr CW promised that he would take me there,  our Rome for First Time Visitors post is my #CulturedKids offering this week.

What have you been up to over the past couple of weeks?  Scarlett from The Diary of a Londoness make her debut as #CulturedKids host this week.  Why not pop over to see her and link up your Cultural posts?
